The purpose of the Pleasanton - Blairgowrie - Fergus Sister City Organization is to promote understandingand friendship between the citizens of Pleasanton, Blairgowrie, and Fergus and their respective regions, and to encourage and facilitate the exchange of people and culture between the communities.



PBFSCO Scholarship Program

Mission Statement

Mission statement: To enable the study and pursuit of those things that are identified as being of or related to Scottish culture through the endowment of monies.

Approved areas of study

1) Scottish Sports – Curling, Shinty, Gaelic Football, Heavy Athletics, Rugby
2) Scottish Dance – Royal Scottish Country Dance (RSCDS), Highland, Cape Breton
3) Scottish music – Bagpipes, Scottish Fiddle, Bodran, accordion, voice (waulking, other)
4) Scottish history – history of Scotland, history of Scottish people of historical significance, genealogy
5) Scottish art and crafts – painting, stone, leather, ceramic, weaving, spinning, metals
6) Scottish language – Gaelic


Process: Each request must be submitted in writing to the scholarship committee for prompt consideration. The committee will respond in writing with its binding decision. All decisions are final.
